What Is Hydrocyclone?

A hydrocyclone is a device that utilizes centrifugal force for solid-liquid separation, widely used in drilling fluid solids control systems to remove solid particles (mainly sand and silt) from drilling fluids. Depending on the size of particles to be separated, hydrocyclones can be categorized into desanders (separating 47-76μm particles) and desilters (separating 15-47μm particles).
